About Our Soap - Why Use Fat?
About Our Soap - Why Use Fat?
Crafted with 100% grass-fed tallow and whole ingredients, our soaps are free from toxic seed oils, synthetic fragrances, and harmful chemicals - always! Packed with vitamins A, D, E, K, and B12, plus nourishing omega fatty acids, beef tallow was created to care for your skin. Many people have tried, but you can’t beat God’s perfect design.
Why 100% grass fed beef tallow? Well, soaps made with 100% grass fed and finished tallow include higher levels of vitamins than their grain fed counterpart, or most soaps made with plant-based ingredients.*

It may sound fancy, but using tallow in skincare is nothing new. In 2004, archaeologists in London uncovered a Roman canister containing a mixture of beef fat and starch that they believe was used as a high-quality moisturizer over 2000 years ago.* Now that’s old!!!

Why Use Our
Homemade Soap?
You’ll want to skip the commercial soap bars when you hear what manufacturers do to make a quick buck. Not only do commercial soaps often contain harsh detergents and synthetic hormone disrupting additives, but they have also been stripped of an expensive ingredient called glycerin. Glycerin (also named “glycerol”) is a naturally occurring byproduct of a chemical reaction called saponification.
Saponification happens when liquid (water) and fats are combined with an alkaline solution (lye). This chemical reaction turns fats into soap and glycerin, a colorless and odorless humectant.
Humectants are a valuable “byproduct” of the soap industry because they attract and retain moisture, making your skin feel soft and smooth. For this reason, soap manufacturers harvest glycerin from their products and sell it separately for use in high end lotions and serums!!! When you make soaps at home or purchase our homemade soaps, the glycerin is retained, and it leaves your skin feeling luxuriously hydrated.
